Dr. José Vasconcelos Tavares represents the third generation of a family with over 80 years of dedication to oral healthcare in Portugal, maintaining a continuous commitment to clinical excellence and innovation in the sector.

He is the founder, CEO and Clinical Director of Clínica Dr. José Vasconcelos Tavares, while also serving as International Clinical Director at Dragon Practice Consulting in Wales, United Kingdom.

He is a Board Member of the Health Cluster Portugal for the 2026–2029 term, actively contributing to the promotion and strategic development of the healthcare sector in Portugal.

He graduated in Dentistry from the Faculty of Dental Medicine at the University of Lisbon and furthered his education with postgraduate qualifications in Preventive Dentistry, Healthcare Management (Portuguese Catholic University) and Health Innovation Management (Imperial College London).

He is currently completing a Doctorate in Applied Business Management, specialising in oral health, at ISCTE – Instituto Universitário de Lisboa.

His clinical practice focuses on oral rehabilitation and aesthetic dentistry, combining clinical rigour with strategic vision and a strong focus on patient experience.

He has been a member of the Portuguese Dental Association (OMD) since 2003 and of the General Dental Council (GDC) in the United Kingdom since 2006.
